Embracing Stillness and Pause

Embracing Stillness and Pause

Dear Friends,

With all the chaos happening in our current world, it can be easy to feel that we need to lean heavily on “doing” energy. As Lazaris has often talked about, though, there is so much magic to be found in “being.” It can be a way to not only replenish our magic when it is feeling depleted, but to allow deeper magic and change in.

Alisonn wrote of her experiences with pause recently in our online discussion community:

An Excerpt from Alisonn's post:

"When I surrendered to the stillness and that space was created, more of who I…

Never Turn Your Back on a Bluebird

The following was written shortly after lockdown began in 2020.

Dear Friends,

There is a lot of advice floating around today. Some of it is practical, like how long to wash your hands, what percentage of alcohol your hand sanitizer needs to be, etc. etc.

Of course some of it is helpful, but sometimes I find the dispensing of so much advice counterproductive and overwhelming. Case in point: In catching up on the news today, I found a small tidbit in the headlines that encouraged everyone to walk around their homes so many steps per day in order to…

Three Veils

Three Veils

(by Alisonn Rose)

When I was around 7 or 8, a feeling would come over me, more of a question, really: Who was I before this?

The question wasn't more defined than that, but it would cause such "hard thinking" that I would almost give myself headaches. A smell or a sound would trigger these questions, or sometimes, someone's smile, laugh, or voice. I know I was someone else, it's important to remember, I would think ... and then a veil would slide over the thought.

I remember that the veil was a bright blood-red, covering everything like a velvet…

A Rabbit Hole of a Different Nature (excerpt)

An excerpt from Jach's post, "A Rabbit Hole of a Different Nature," in our online community, A Sacred Place Where Magician's Gather:

Who’s going to win the election? What if Trump? What if Biden?

Here I am, and here we are. I feel as if I’m staring down two very different Rabbit Holes: An election and a future are down there. Which Rabbit Hole am I going to go down? The questions loom.

In my pondering about the Rabbit Holes and the realities to which they lead, I have been thinking about Atlantis. These are the thoughts that tumble around…

Puzzle Pieces from the Middle (excerpt)

An excerpt from Jach's post titled 'Puzzle Pieces from the Middle' in our online community, A Sacred Place Where Magician's Gather:

During the Lake District workshop, nine years ago, Lazaris talked of the Perfect Storm of Change. I think we are in that perfect storm now. To me, there seem to be four individual crises, each with its own brand of chaos, that are at work here. They are mysterious and thus they are powerful but they can also be magical. Each is like a puzzle piece from somewhere in the middle. I think that if they can be fitted together,…

... Herbs, tiny carrots, green beans, and lettuces, all from our garden.

Enrique and I are quarantined in the countryside here in Colombia. We are healthy, secure, and safe. We are away from the city because the potentials of violence are more real in Colombia than in California. The virus is here in Colombia. It came late, but it's now here, and the fears that come with it are expanded because of the still developing nation status of Colombia.

We had planned to go back to California for the March events of course, and when they were postponed until December, we thought…

Trees That I Have Known

I continue to learn Spanish, and I am getting better at saying what I want to say. Though it goes slowly, I can communicate one to one fairly well. But it's still amazingly difficult to actively participate in a lively conversation with a group of Colombians. They talk so fast and with great vitality. The emotional intensity is both beautiful and frightening. What sounds like an alarming conversation could well be about how to properly prepare empanadas or how to make the sauce to accompany them. Adding to the mystery, they speak with their own traditional and personal idioms. Well,…

A Decade is Ending . . .

A decade is ending. That's not too exciting; it happens every ten years. But as this decade ends I am caught up in I don't know what. Nostalgia, curiosity, wonderment, mystery, I don't know, but whatever it is, it's a nagging feeling that demands my attention.

Lazaris has often called the first two decades of the new millennium, "the two most exciting decades in the history of humankind on Earth." The 1990s was the most monumental but these two are the most exciting.

I have found that Lazaris says some of the most significant things in…

Carnaval of Barranquilla

March 7, 2019. A river of color flowing down the street. Hot sun. Gentle breeze. The smells of chorizo grilling. Drums beating, and people everywhere clapping, singing, dancing, and cheering. I sat so still in the chaos and cacophony caught up and lifted by the symphony of mystery and wonder and compassion and beauty. I sat there amazed and knowing I was in the right place and it was the right time. It was one enchanting moment among many such moments during the Carnaval of Barranquilla.

Only raw Nature and unabashed beauty that lifts from the valleys of lush shades of green to the majesty of rugged snow capped Himalaya Mountains. Stunning. Unbelievable. Beyond my imagination and beyond anything I could capture in photographs. Yet there I stood surrounded by it all.

I can't find the right words yet. I stepped far outside my safe places of habits and routines and beyond the safe places of my beliefs about myself. Nepal held great mystery for me and it has become surprisingly revealing as well. I…

From the Taj Mahal in Agra, we bused our way to Delhi. It's the capital of India. Eighteen million people. I expected to experience a big city that could be any big city in the world. I was wrong. Delhi, the old Indian city, and New Delhi, the city that the British created, weave together to create an intricate complexity that has a surprising high resonance. I felt an excitement in Delhi; there seemed to be a buoyant pride and an imposing confidence in the potential of India and in the Indian future. And besides, we met a faerie in…

I imagined that a full moon would set just as the sun would rise and it would be a memorable moment, maybe even a defining one. In my imagination, I stood alone, just the Taj Mahal and me.

Once again on the bus at 5:30 for a 10 minute drive to the bus parking lot and then a golf cart type bus ride to the entrance. The moon was amber and, yes, it was full. However…

"I love this city!" Those were my first words at the welcome dinner, Sunday, April 8. And it's true. There is magic in the air in this city. Most large cities that are growing and changing, tend to have an aliveness within the hustle and bustle of city life. They have a dynamism that can be exhilarating or exhausting. I suppose Barcelona has that, but there is something else, something special, unique to its hustle and to its aliveness. There's a freshness here, an eagerness, and a buzz. Tiers of Emotion ... During the evening workshop Lazaris talked about charting the new course for the future and for the world. Cutting to the core of it, he pointed out that the key to charting the new course was in visioning. It all begins with vision; it all begins with visioning. I find that so incredible and so amazingly powerful. It all begins with vision. Vision is the light or…

Beyond the Need to Control

By Lazaris

This is an excerpt from the Personal Growth Recording: 'Busting Free: Beyond the Need to Control'

You love. Absolutely, you do. You have grown, you have changed, you have evolved. And you do love. You feel love with your Unseen Friends and with your Inner Child and Inner Adolescent. You feel love outside in your illusion, in this physical realm. Oh yes, you do.

But, you see, you also feel the need to control, and that control robs you of the intensity, the depth, the beauty, and certainly the power of that love. And through the decades you've…

Electromagnetic Energy & Crop Circles

By Lazaris

Well, as we said as 1993 began, there is a tremendous upsurge of this particular energy, surging electromagnetic energy, which results in all kinds of phenomena in your physical plane - particularly when that energy is not absorbed. When the human consciousness or the human being does not absorb the energy, and therefore reflects it or rejects, it bounces off. And therefore, it gets grounded in the earth itself, thus producing the tectonic activity which is so evident, which is an electromagnetic response. It also produces massive changes, erratic changes in weather patterns, certainly so. It also…

'The Story of Two Bridges'

An excerpt from 'The Sacred Journey: You and Your Higher Self' by Lazaris

There are two bridges that you can cross. One is called the Bridge of Faith, and the other is called the Bridge of Belief.

The Bridge of Faith is long and flat. It goes on for what must seem like forever. As you stand at the beginning of the Bridge of Faith, it's like looking down a railroad track in Kansas. It goes on forever until the parallel tracks appear to meet. With the railroad tracks, however, you know they don't really meet. The Bridge…

All right. All right. Well, well, certainly so. Certainly so, it is a pleasure to be working with you; it is a joy to have this chance to explore with you. As we touch in this moment, our goal is not to provide a complete picture. No. Our goal is to stir ideas and to stimulate thoughts and feelings. Our goal, in this touch, is to tickle something deep within you so as to set something in motion - to set that 'something more' inside you in motion.

As we touch in this moment, let us look again…

On Reincarnation and Parallel and Overlapping Lifetimes "Other Lives, Other Times"

An Excerpt from an interview originally published in Lazaris' book Lazaris Interviews, Book II (This book is out of print.)

You know as metaphysicians that your Physical Plane is an illusion. You know as astute, intelligent people — whether you're metaphysical or not — that reality is an illusion. Your scientists have demonstrated this so conclusively, so repetitively, so rigidly, that the only way you can pretend otherwise is to deny the truth.

The metaphysicians and the scientists, who are usually at odds with one another, agree totally on this issue: Your reality is a product of thought. Your reality is a…

Explaining Lazaris is a lot like trying to explain love. He brings to our world a positive message of hope for our future, but it is the love between the lines that touches the heart. There is a joyful realization that you have found a new friend who loves you unconditionally.

It wasn't out of pity; it was out of admiration. It's another long weekend in Colombia — un puente fin de semana — "a bridge weekend."

Friday we drove to Periera, a city in "el Eje Cafetero," the coffer growing area. It's not a pretty city but it's popular as a party town with a reputation. (What happens in Pereira …). With a population of about a million people, and many more tourists, it sits at edge of the middle range of the Andes Mountains. It shares the region with Armenia, Santa Rosa, Manizales, and Medellin. We are…

Jach's Travels

Pouring rain on a tin roof. It's been sixty-two years, but I remember the sound and the sensation. We were visiting my grandmother in Schoolcraft, Michigan. The house had been the family home for several generations. A historical site and a clandestine stop on the Underground Railroad during the Civil War. The basement with its steep stone steps was eery and frightening to me that summer. The house had a living room with plenty of mahogany wood rocking chairs with cane wicker seats and back, and a parlor with a shining ebony grand piano and ferns on…

A Journey Ends, a Journey Begins: Thoughts on Bali and Hong Kong

Jach's Travels

It was hard to leave Bali. Many people wrote those words. Everyone felt it. It was hard. Lazaris spoke of Bali as a land "of the between of worlds." It's a little island that sits in the middle, in the between, of the Archipelago of Indonesia. Bali is a little world unto itself that sits between our world that is and a new world that is now destined to be. Though not literally true, metaphorically and emotionally — spiritually — it's true. I felt it. Bali has the beauty akin to Hawaii and to many tropical islands…

His fingers moved with precision across the keypad. Four digits and the thick battered metal door popped. Opening only a few inches, he pushed the door wide. A small room, an anti-room actually. Scared concrete floor, walls, and ceiling. Decades old dust covered the beams. But a shiny elevator and a well dressed young man with a broad smile welcomed us.

"Welcome to Caliope." The shiny door opened and we stepped in as he pushed the button. The 3 lit up. Moments later the rear door opened, and we stepped out into a chrome and glass…

Q. What are the differences between Union and Oneness? Seems like Oneness is more connected with divinity.

JACH: Certainly they are connected, and often the terms can be interchangeable in our language, but there are differences, I think.

Here's what I have been thinking about in the midst of the current almost overwhelming points of chaos, crises, atrocities of violence, and human tragedies: Polarization, now too common in the politics in the United States, seems to have spread to become a global issue.

Polarization: Republican-Democrat; Sunni-Shiite; Palestinian-Israeli; Syrian-Rebel; Iranian-Insurgent; Russian-Ukrainian ... are there more? Probably. I have been looking at this for awhile trying to understand what's…

One has heard so often in the world out there about fears of failure. It was presented perhaps a decade ago as this revelatory understanding that there is fear of success.

And it became something of a catch phrase, something of a buzzword. 'Your problem is you have fear of success.' And it's true for many people. Ironically, for many people the fear of success is much bigger than the fear of failure. You have learned through conditioning, from the time you were a very small infant, to cope with and deal with failure. Everyone has…

Most people don't really know what it is, but it's important to know. To be effective in your healing of yourself or others, you need something to move toward, not just something to run away from.

It's also important to understand what health is because you need some standard by which to judge whether you've established a state of health effective enough to move on. You see, you have healing that takes…

Channeling has been a part of our spiritual search since that search began. Though the acceptability and the visibility of channeled entities and channeled communication has varied, both have always been present within our study and pursuit of metaphysics. The quality of communication and the quality of the messages vary, and there are guidelines that we can use.

1. Are the teachings limited? Are the teachings giving you the sense that you are less than you really are? There are many who would tell you of your limitation, about how you are a "low-life of the Universe" and how they -…

Lazaris is a channeled entity, but he is so much more. Many who are familiar with metaphysics and channeling say, "There is channeling, and then there is Lazaris."

In the broad stroke of the brush, channeling is a process that begins with deep relaxation that moves into meditation and then beyond into what would better be called a trance-state. Jach, while in this deep trance-state, becomes the conduit for Lazaris. Jach becomes the channel of Lazaris' communication. Lazaris utilizes Jach's vocal cords and Jach's body to channel his own ideas into our world.
