Through this website and forum, the "Jach & Lazaris Room," we look forward to new and definitely exciting ways to share ourselves, our experiences, and a bit of Lazaris, too, as part of this New Age Forum. We look forward to creating a spiritual community together, and we ask for your help and your participation in doing so. Spiritual Community is not new to the New Age Forum. The existing community that has already evolved can be both a platform and a springboard from which to build another safe place for our ever-expanding growth.

Lazaris has said: "Turn up your light. For, even if you do not know where you are going, it will be brighter when you get there." We have taken this suggestion quite literally. At the gentle encouragement of many of our friends, and at the subtle urging of many who know Lazaris so well, we are turning up our light to create this new website.

We want to explore and experiment to see what this website can become and where it can go -- to discover more of who we are and to offer a place for you to discover more of who you are, as we all turn up our lights a little more. If we do that, it will be brighter when we get there, wherever "there" happens to be.

We want to be fluid and flexible, infusing this website with love and light, with laughter and fun, and with a bit of enchanting chaos, too. With this as a backdrop, we plan to jump in.

I am Jach who channels the entity called Lazaris -- a nonphysical entity who has never incarnated here or in any other physical world. This is not the biblical character, but "La-ZAR- is." <g> When I first experienced Lazaris, over twenty years ago now, I asked his name. What I heard in my spontaneous meditation was: La-ZAR-is. If I had thought any of this would have come from that, I might have asked for a "better-more-easily-pronounceable name." I did not believe it would, so I didn't -- ask, that is.

If you want to read a more detailed account of how it all began with Lazaris and me, I refer you to the Library section. There is an entry called "Jach's Introduction to Lazaris" that you can easily download.

Lazaris, though definitely separate from me, has become an integral part of my life. I live what he teaches, and I work with the myriad of techniques, old and new, that he suggests. Yes, I listen to the tapes and take notes just like everyone else. <g> That I channel Lazaris does not give me license or entitlement. My process is still my process. My growth, change, and evolution are still mine to deal with and to develop. He will not "do it for me." Help, guide, suggest? Yes. Do it for me? Lovingly, no. I laugh now remembering when Lazaris first said that even though I am channeling him, I "still have to take out the garbage." I thought he meant that literally. Now I know better what he really meant.<vbg>

While channeling, I am totally unconscious: It is like sleeping without dreaming. In retrospect, I feel it kind of had to be that way at the beginning, because all this "channeling stuff" was foreign as well as new to me. I was not "eager" to have it be anything else. I understand those who are skeptical of all this "new age, metaphysical, and spiritual stuff." I began that way myself. <g>

See, before Lazaris came, I was part of "Corporate America" and working for State Farm Insurance. Though rumor has it that I was an insurance salesman, I was not. Nothing wrong with that profession, but I was an "up-and-coming" executive in one of the Regional Offices. According to the Regional Manager, I was on the fast track in an accelerated program to move up the corporate ladder. Next stop: Home Office in Bloomington, Illinois.

I had no room for metaphysics and spirituality. At the time I thought I had no desire for it, either. It was fine for others, I supposed, but not for me. I look back at that time in my life (when I was 27), and I slowly shake my head and smile: Oh my! How my life was about to change! <g>

I like that I am unconscious while channeling Lazaris. I want people to have a relationship with Lazaris that is all their own - - that does not, by default, include me. If they want to include me after the fact, that is their choice. My relationship with him is so special and such a fulfilling part of my life. It is so private and personally intimate that I want others to have a chance to experience what that might be like with that sense of privacy and intimacy, too.

Yes, I have a personal relationship with Lazaris. He is my treasured friend. He is not my counselor, though he counsels me almost daily. He is not my Higher Self, though my Higher Self and Lazaris work together in my unseen worlds. While channeling I am unaware of what is going on, but in meditation I am very aware. I have a special place -- the place where we first met -- in which we sit and talk and work together. Sometimes I am full of questions, and he lovingly laughs at my impatience. Then he patiently responds until he senses that I understand what he is trying to convey. Sometimes I just go and sit with him and let myself receive his love. I come away from such private moments fulfilled and changed. As many times as we have met in that place, it is still so fresh -- almost overwhelming -- and gratifying. It still amazes me that all this is happening to me.

My life has become so filled with so many wonderful things and with so much magic. There really are not words to describe it. However, as I write messages in this section, and as I respond to your messages and inquiries, -- as we interact together -- perhaps I can better describe what it is like to "live" with Lazaris inside me and with him all around me. I love it and I love him. He is my best friend (along with Peny), yes.

Peny will also participate in this section. I insisted. <g> Peny and I have been best friends since we were 14 years old. After our second year at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, we were married. We had been happily married for seven years when Lazaris first came into our lives. Peny and I amicably divorced when we realized that though the love had not dimmed, it had changed. Lazaris was totally there for us as we charted a new way of respectfully and lovingly getting divorced from each other. I know many cannot understand this; some do not want to understand. I also know that Peny and I never missed a beat of loving. The physical intimacy stopped, of course, but the emotional, mental, and spiritual intimacy deepened as it still does today. In so many metaphysical and spiritual ways, our lives intertwine. Yet we each have our independence, too.

Now Peny is so happily married to Michaell (for 17 years now), and they have their life and their space, I have mine, and then we have ours. It's intricate and complex; more, it is full and rewarding. I marvel at what, with Lazaris and our Higher Selves, we have created together.

Who is Peny? Well, when people ask Lazaris why he is communicating through me, without hesitation he says, "Because we wanted to talk with Peny . . . she is the one we came to touch and the one who truly touches us." (Words in our world are linear, and as such, they are often limited in their correct meaning. Over the last 20 years, I have come to understand more and more of what he meant here). He said he would be happy to just talk with her. He did not come to save the planet or to save humanity: That is what we (all of us humans) came to do. However, Lazaris said that if she wanted him to talk with others -- to work with others -- he would be happy to do so. It was her choice. Though he knew what she would decide, it had to be her choice. Whatever that choice would be, he would love her without condition. She chose, without hesitation. Thus Lazaris began reaching out to those who would be touched.

Lazaris and Peny are best friends. Each day, when the hecticness of daily living quiets, I slip into trance, and Lazaris and Peny spend time talking, laughing, exploring. With it, all the love between them abounds. Peny works on her personal issues, and Peny and Lazaris explore new directions and new ideas together. They do not have a father-daughter or a guru-disciple relationship, though some might assume otherwise. They are truly friends in the full and wonderful -- and delightful -- meaning of the word. Friends for eternity.

Those who know Peny -- who are not a great many as she tends to stay in the background with no need for public participation -- find her experiences, ideas, observations, and points of view innovative, creative, humorous and sometimes direct. They find her always so supportive and nurturing. She also lives so much of what Lazaris suggests.

Michaell was the first person other than Peny to ever talk with Lazaris. Peny and Michaell, though friends, were not married back then. Michaell, a trusted friend -- an emotionally intimate friend -- had an extensive background in "things metaphysical and spiritual." He had studied and lived a mainly Eastern Philosophy and was deeply involved in such endeavors back in the 1960s and early 1970s. I did not know what to make of metaphysics and this new thing called channeling back in 1974, when it all began. So, Peny and I turned to Michaell. We wanted him to talk to Lazaris and tell us what he thought.

Michaell came to spend Thanksgiving Weekend. He and Lazaris talked for eight to ten hours each day: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Michaell has been talking with Lazaris ever since. Though by choice the least visible, he is an integral part of who we all are. I do not know how much or how little Michaell will participate in this section. His presence will be felt.

And, of course, there is Lazaris. There is a wonderful article in the Library called "Lazaris Explains Lazaris" and there are other articles of his communications that can help you begin to understand Lazaris. From time to time, Lazaris will participate. However, I do not want to mislead any of you. The interactions and the communications will come mainly from me and from Peny, some from Michaell, and occasionally from Lazaris directly. However, Lazaris' participation will be limited. He works through the workshops and through private sessions with so many. Besides, he encourages us to turn up our light. [vbg] People tend to find "his light" when they are ready.

Speaking of people, then there is you. Those who know Lazaris well, those who are new to him, and those who will be discovering him -- we welcome you to come join us and to participate as fully as you like. Some of us are more private, and our journey and path is not "out there." Others of us are more visible. You are welcome to just dip in and out to read the various posts in the variety of threads. You are welcome to stay for a while and chat, offering ideas or asking questions. You are welcome to jump into the full range of topics contained within the threads of this section. As I said, we are looking to create a community with a broad range of interests expressing and reflecting more of who we really are -- more to each other and more to ourselves.

Now, what about the threads? Against that backdrop of fluidity and flexibility, we want to let our individual and collective imagination and creativity be open and innovative. Sure, we look forward to in-depth metaphysical discussions and interactions. And we also look forward to exploring "Star Trek Voyager" or some other current movies. What about the Super Bowl? Okay, that will be a short thread. <g> We can have "how-to" threads where we ask each other for help and insight. We can have research threads where we can share some newly-discovered information to see what others might know about it. We will definitely be creating a "Crystal Cave" Thread (see the "Jach & Lazaris" Library for details). I would like to create a Dream Thread where we fill each other in on some of the less obvious things that are happening out there, and at the same time, ask for support and programming in "dreaming it differently."

I guess it's because we live our metaphysics and our spirituality all day -- all the time. Everything has metaphysical meaning with varying degrees of significance. In the broadest stroke of the brush, spirituality is our ever-present relationship with God/Goddess/All That Is. Nothing is beyond that touch or grasp. So we hope you will join us in creating all kinds of threads covering a broad range of interests and ideas.

Before I conclude this introduction and welcome that has become far longer than I intended, I want to add a bit about Lazaris for those who know him well and for those who are about to know him better. I do this as a way to communicate a tone or resonance that we hope to establish and maintain in this section. With your help, I am confident we will.

Over the last two decades, Lazaris has conducted hundreds of workshops all over the country. Whether a workshop is an Evening with Lazaris or a four-day Lazaris Intensive, those who gather to be with and to work with Lazaris -- many hundreds at a time -- come away with a very personal, very intimate experience of both Lazaris and of the material he discusses. Over the years, the number of "those who have gathered" has continued to grow. At first, some were concerned that they would lose some of that special intimacy as more people came to the workshops. They were pleasantly surprised and delighted to realize that as the numbers grew bigger the intimacy grew deeper.

The array of topics is vast as Lazaris may repeat a workshop title from time to time, though each workshop, regardless of its title, is always new and fresh. Geared to each of us who participate, each workshop is different. What is common to them all: The Lazaris Material is always crisp and direct, aimed at expanding our awareness, our learning, and our knowing.

His aim is to stimulate our intellect, our imagination, and our creativity without confounding them. His emphasis is on helping us turn meaning into experience -- our own very personal and very private experience. He does this by interspersing the discussion with "Lazaris Blendings" and with powerfully detailed guided meditations.

A "Lazaris Blending" is a self-directed altered state of consciousness where we can blend our consciousness with Lazaris' consciousness. He demonstrates his unbounded love and respect for us and who we are by never forcing and never overwhelming us. He never "makes" us -- he allows us -- to feel or experience his love, though it is always there. He never tells us what to do. He always suggests a course of action and often suggests several, while he explores the various consequences or benefits of each. A "Lazaris Blending" is a time when Lazaris talks with us individually "often using our own voice."

A Lazaris Meditation is unique in its detail and its vividness. The insights we glean can be profound in their impact. Again, even during the most intense meditation, we are always in charge. As much as the words of description may be his, the experiences, the insights, and the magic that precipitate from those words and images are ours. The growth and change that come out of those meditations are also ours.

Though thousands of people work with Lazaris, each has a one- to-one relationship with Lazaris that is quite personal. He is not a guru; he is not a master. He has not need for those labels. He is a friend.

He does not take us where we do not want to go. Rather, he walks "beside us" on our individual metaphysical and spiritual journey to God/Goddess/All That Is, pointing out the interesting, the intriguing, and the helpful along the way. He walks with us on our personal path Home, pointing out potential pitfalls, traps, and distractions that could otherwise obscure and detain us from our destination. He offers suggestion through a panoply of techniques that can allow elegance and excellence so that the all- important means of our journey and path can be rich and ripe with wonder, magic, and miracles.

Peny, Michaell, and I have thoroughly enjoyed our experience of Lazaris, and we have been inspired by the experiences of those of you, whether well-seasoned or new to your spiritual path, who have worked with him as well. The spiritual reward of sharing Lazaris with so many is ineffable.

We look forward to sharing ourselves and to sharing a "side" of Lazaris and our work with him. We look forward to getting to know you and a facet of you that we might not otherwise experience.
